The Revelation Of Jesus Christ
John 20:31 “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
The term Son of God depicts Jesus’ deity.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Verse 14 And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,(and we beheld his glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
Verse 16 And all of his fullness have we all received, and grace for grace.
For 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
It is of utmost necessity and urgency that we see and have a revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ and all of his divine and human aspects because the Word says-And of His fullness-Gr. pleroo-completeness-have we all received in that grace for grace.
We have received Him-all of Him and all of His fullness-it was a gift, He was/is the ultimate gift, the ultimate favor-unmerited, unearned, and undeserved.
Colossians 2:9-10 “For in him dwells all of the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And we are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.”
Colossians 2:10 amplified Bible. “And you are in Him, made full and have come to fullness of life (in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-and reach full spiritual stature. And He is the Head of all rule and authority(of every angelic principality and power).”
There are two major issues in the Church of Jesus Christ today:
1) No revelation of Jesus Christ
2) Too much looking at ourselves and self-analyzing our incompleteness when God says we are complete in Him.
Galatians 2:19 “For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.” The system of do’s and don’ts and trying to reach perfection or please God or be accepted by Him through our own efforts is ended.
Now-Hebrews 10:14 “For by one sacrifice He has perfected forever them whom he has sanctified.”
Ephesians 1:6 “to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
Romans 8:1-3 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was a weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin He condemned sin in the flesh.”
Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ nevertheless I live; yet not I. but Christ lives in me: and the life that I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
So now I have:
1) Sonship through the Spirit. Galatians 4:7; Romans 8:15-17.
2) Total and complete freedom from the law and condemnation. Galatians 2:19; Romans 8: 1-2.
3) Total acceptance and blessing by grace. Ephesians 1:3-23 to the praise of His glory.
All of this because Jesus is the Son of God and He has made us sons of God-so what He has we have and what He is we are. 1 John 4:17.
Romans 8:29 “For whom the foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn-only begotten, among many brethren.
