How God’s Divine Power Works
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both you and your seed may live:”
Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it.”
God’s Word, conceived in your heart and spoken out of your mouth will get the same results that God gets when He speaks His word.
Luke 1:28-38 explains how a Virgin gave birth to the Son of God. Note verse 38, she agreed with God’s Word. This is what happened to us in Romans 10:9-10. We heard the Gospel of salvation. We believed it in our heart and with our mouth we made confession which led to possession.
1 Peter 1:23 “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.”
John 3:5 “Except one is born of water and of spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
What is the water? Ephesians 5: 26 “that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.” Verse 3 of John 3 is talking about being born again-a spiritual birth. The Word of God implanted in our heart caused us to become a New Creation that never existed before.2 Corinthians 5:17. (New Species)
Matthew 8:16 “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:” Note-with His word or with a word. It was not by finding the secret sin, the root cause, or the name of the leading demon, but with a word-Go!
John 5: 31-39. This is a Bible principle. Greater than the witness of another human being, greater than a voice from heaven, greater than any manifestation is the witness of the Word of God. 2 Corinthians 13:1 “In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” Matthew 18: 19 “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”The greatest agreement that can be made, that cannot be broken, is between you and the Word of God.
John 5:31-39 describes The High Court of Heaven. Every day you are on trial. Every day the Word of God in your life is on trial. The question is will you testify to and act on the Word of God or will you just be a hearer and not a doer deceiving your own self?
The devil is the prosecuting attorney. Jesus is the counsel for the defense. The Holy Spirit is the witness. He witnesses to the absolute truth of the Word of God. When we speak and act on the Word of God the Holy Spirit brings the truth of the Word of God to pass. God the Father is the Judge.
Mark 11:11-14, 20-23.
V11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out into Bethany with the twelve.
V12 And on the morrow when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
V13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
V14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
V20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
V21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away.
V22 And Jesus answering saith unto him, Have faith in God.
V23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.
I literally did this. Without getting into any intimate details we had on the property that my family was living many healthy fruit trees. Apples, peaches, cherries, and pears. All very healthy and fruitful. My children, when they were little, were prevented and scolded and even physically harmed for playing on the property near the trees. This angered me. Please do not judge me for right or wrong. But I cursed those fruit trees and every single one of them died.
We had a lady in our church which had a large growth on her shoulder. We have cursed or commanded many growths and tumors to be removed never to return again. The growth on this lady disappeared. The tumors and growths in many people’s bodies have disappeared. It is not just the mountain but those things, that is, everything you say believing will come to pass.
It is not bombarding the gates of heaven by praying over and over. First of all heaven’s gates are open. It is storming the gates of hell. Hebrews 10:23 “let us hold fast to our confession or profession of our face.” Hold fast. Once you decree a thing or command something to obey you, you hold fast to those words that you have spoken. Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?”
Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Then why keep praying and asking if you already have what you say and believe you have received? The answer is in believing and confessing what the Word says and the Word says it will be removed and cast into the sea. Hebrews 4:12 “For the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edgedsword piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joint and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intent of the heart.” It is the intent of the heart.
There is a difference between asking in prayer, commanding of the devil or the body, and confessing God’s Word.
1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” We only have to ask God one time and we know that we have what we have asked of Him.
John 14:14 ” If Ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.” The implication here is commanding or demanding of the devil. Jesus is seeing to it that whatever we demand in His name shall be done. When we command the devil he must obey. We don’t have to get in a long drawn out back and forth battle with the devil. Just tell him to go, just tell him to leave and in Jesus name he will go.
Hebrews 4:14 “Seeing then we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.” The confession of God’s Word not only activates our Great High Priest, Jesus, but also the Holy Spirit testifies or agrees or brings to pass the word or words that we confess in accordance with God’s Word, the Bible. Confessing God’s Word is also for us. It keeps our minds focused on what God is doing. God’s Word is where His power is and by consistently speaking His Word is making His power available. Proverbs 4:20-22.
Romans 4:16-21 is an example of how God’s divine power works. It is an example of how the God kind of faith works. “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead when he was about 100 years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we look not at the things that are seen but at the things which are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
Mark 5:39 Jesus said that Jairus’ daughter was not dead but was sleeping. Was he lying? No. He was calling those things that be not as though they were.
2 Peter 1:3 God has provided all things, now, in this present time, all that pertains unto life and godliness by His divine power through the knowledge of Him. Or we could say by the knowledge of how His divine power works and that is by speaking God’s Word in faith and acting on that Word like it is already so.
