Walking In The Power Of God
Every believer is expected to walk in the power of Almighty God. Most Christians cannot see themselves doing signs, wonders, and miracles. Never measure your spirituality by the amount of miracles that happen through your life. A miracle is designed to change the life of the person that needs a miracle. It is the same with healing. It is not to prove that we are men and women of God. We are men and women of God because God says that we are.
Don’t think miracles are going to get people saved. It’s the message of the Gospel of Grace that saves a soul. We minister to the sick because God wants those people well and he commanded us to do it. We do not do it to prove who we are or to elevate our ministry. A miracle proves who Jesus is not who we are. Neither does it prove our doctrine. It only proves the doctrine of healing. “By His stripes we were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24.
God confirms His word of grace by signs, wonders and miracles. So why do believers struggle with the power of God? The reason is because of trying to operate under law instead of grace. Matthew 10:8, “ …Freely you have received, freely give.” If you have received the power of God you can distribute it whenever and wherever to whosoever you want. The key on how to get the sick healed is Colossians 1:27, “Christ in you the hope of glory.” Philippians 3:7-9, “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.” Never think you are going to walk in the true power of God with a law mentality. Verse 9 of Philippians 3 says, “Not having mine own righteousness which is of the law.”
I want to know the righteousness which is by faith not by works. Why? That I may know him and the power of his resurrection! Verse 10, “That I may know Him..” You cannot know God except by righteousness (His righteousness), grace, and faith. I count all things but loss. What things? All the things of the law. Tithes, prayers, fasting, they are good, but I do them because I love God not to get power with Him. What is the power of his resurrection? Romans 6:4. Jesus was raised up by the glory of the Father. What is the power? It is the glory of God! I want to study His righteousness and his obedience not my own. I want to know the glory of God by the message of grace. T to know who I am by God’s grace.
The power to heal; is a gift from God. The power of Christ’s resurrection is the glory of God the Father. Healing the sick is walking in the reality of the New Creation – Grace – not Law.
