Believe and Speak

2Corinthians 4:13 ”And since we have the same spirit of faith, as it is written, I believed and therefore I spoke, we also believe and speak.” The major principle of faith in action is to believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. Romans 10:9-10 ”That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” We use the Word of God in speaking words of change to the obstacles in our life. Mark 11:23 “If you say to the mountain be removed and be cast into the sea, and do not doubt in your heart but believe that those things you say will come to pass, you will have whatever you say.” We can spend all day complaining which is what many people do, or we can destroy that old picture of defeat with the Word of God and project and set in motion a new vision for our life.
Jeremiah 23:25 “Is not my word like a fire says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goes out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void; it will accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it.” Proverbs 6:2” You are snared with the words of your mouth.” Those that say that they can and those that say that they can’t are both right. Proverbs 18:20-21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will its the fruit thereof.” The spirit world is controlled by the Word of God. Jesus showed us that in Matthew 4:4 and in Luke 4:4. The natural world is to be controlled by man speaking God’s Word. Jesus showed us that also in speaking to trees, to the sea, to demons, and to sick bodies. The spoken Word of God is creative power. We are not creating anything that God has not already created. We are just bringing them into the realm in which we live. It is not twisting God’s arm. It is releasing the power of God into a situation. It is for you, not for God!
The whole kingdom of God operates on a legal system. Jesus legally defeated Satan and legally set us free and legally gave us the victory. Every day the Word in our life is on trial. God the Father is the Judge. He set the rules already and He knows the way things are supposed to be. Our advocate or attorney for our defense is the Lord Jesus Christ. The prosecuting attorney is the devil. We are providing evidence with our mouth. What you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. We are talking about spiritual law, not the Law of Moses. If we say what God says, then we will have what God says we have. If we say what the enemy says, we may have what he says we have. If we keep silent, we will stay in the condition we are in. The Holy Spirit is the witness. He testifies that everything we say according to the Word of God is true.
When we speak in line with the Word, spiritual law, the power of the Spirit testifies to that truth of the word and things are set in motion according to God’s Word and spiritual law. Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record against you this day that I have set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing, choose life that you and your seed may live.” We choose life by agreeing with God’s Word. We choose the blessing by saying amen to God’s word. Matthew 16:19 Weust translation “Whatever you declare to be lawful on earth will have already been declared lawful in heaven and whatever you declare to be unlawful on earth will be already declared unlawful in heaven. God’s Word is settled in heaven. Now we settle it here on this earth, and when we do the kingdom of God is advanced and lives are changed by the Word and the Spirit of the living God.
