December 2017 - Teaching Letter - Already Forgiven

December 2017 Teaching Letter

Ephesians1:7”In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to his grace.” Father God wants us to know that we are forgiven- forever! Notice it is “sins”, plural, and it is NOT according to our confession or behavior, but according to His grace! Hebrews 8:12”For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.” In the Old Testament God said in Isaiah 64:6, “your righteousness is as filthy rags”. In the New Testament He said, “I will be merciful to your unrighteousness.” Isaiah 53:6”All we like sheep have gone astray; we have all gone our own way; and the LORD has laid on him(Jesus) the iniquity of us all.” Iniquity is sin and the consequences of sin. Psalm 103:3”Who forgives all our iniquities.”
Father has not only forgiven us of all our sins, but He has changed our nature from sin to righteous, and imparted unto us His righteousness. Romans 5:17”For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” 2Corinthians 5:21”For he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Romans 14:17”For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
Righteousness gives us access to the throne of God’s grace. Hope is a confident expectation of what Father God has promised will come to pass and He will bring it to pass. Romans 4:20-22”He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able to perform. And therefore, it was imputed to him for righteousness.” Now we praise God and give Him glory for in the NT is no longer a promise, but a fact. We are the righteousness of God by faith in Jesus Christ. Father God is still performing His Word in and through us because of our faith in Jesus. He has brought, is bringing, and will continue to bring all things to pass. I don’t have to bring anything to pass. My belief in Jesus got me His faith, His strength, His power, His might, His ability and if you don’t understand what I am saying it is all the Father possessing us and doing it all Himself. 1Thessalonians 5:23-24”And the very God of peace sanctify(set you apart) wholly (completely); and I pray your whole spirit, and soul, and body be preserved blames(sound and complete and found blameless) unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calls you, who will also do it.” Did you get it? Amplified-“Faithful is He Who is calling you(to Himself) and is utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it (fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you).” We are owned and protected by God our Father- spirit, soul, and body. It is not “I”,but Christ that the Father now works in and through our entire being. What is our part? To stand and rest. Hallelujah!
