August 2014 Teaching Letter - Walking in the Power of God
Never measure your spirituality by the amount of miracles that happen through your life. A miracle is designed to change the life of the person that needs a miracle. It is the same with healing. It is not to prove that we are a man or woman of God. We are men and women of God because God says we are. Do not think that miracles are going to get people saved. It is the message of the gospel of grace that saves a soul. We pray for the sick because God wants those people well and He commanded us to do it. It is not to prove who we are or to elevate our ministry. A miracle proves who Jesus is not who we are. Neither does it prove our doctrine. It only proves the doctrine of healing. 1Peter 2:24.
Acts 14:1-3”And it came to pass at Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of Jews and also Greeks believed. But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren. Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.” God confirms His Word of grace by signs, wonders, and miracles. Mark 16:17 “these signs shall follow them that believe.” Why do believers struggle with the power of God? The answer is because they are trying to operate under law instead of grace. Matthew 10:7-8 speaks of the commission given to the disciples. We are also disciples. “Freely you have received, freely give.” If you have received the power of God you can distribute it whenever and wherever to whoever you want.
The key on how to get the sick healed is Colossians 1:27 “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Philippians 3:7-10 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, but I may win Christ. And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” Never think you're going to walk in the true power of God with a law mentality. It is not our righteousness which comes by the law. I want to know the righteousness which is by faith not works that I may know him and the power of his resurrection.
Paul said he counted all things as loss. What things? All the things of the law. Tithes, fasting, prayers-they are good, but I do them because I love God not to get power with Him. The righteousness by grace allows me to know Him and the power of His resurrection. What is the power of His resurrection? Romans 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Jesus was raised up by the glory of God. What is the power? It is the anointing, the glory! I want to study His righteousness, and His obedience. Knowing the glory of God by the message of grace is knowing who you are by Gods grace. The power to heal is a gift from God. The power of Christ’s resurrection is the glory of God. Healing the sick is walking in the reality of the new creation-Grace-not law.
I don’t want to know the law. There is no resurrection power there. The message of the cross is the glory of God. The more you see the goodness of God the more you will see and experience His glory. Meditate and see the power and glory of God. See His love and awesomeness toward you. 2 Corinthians 3:14 “But their minds were blinded: for until this day the veil still remains (the law) untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ.” When you are under the law you cannot look at the glory the way you're supposed to look at the glory because there is a veil over your face. The moment you see Jesus through grace you can see the glory. The key is this: when you look into the glory of God what do you see? You see God and His glory. When you look into the mirror of God’s glory you see yourself with God’s glory, that is, what is in you. 1 John 4:17 “as He is so are we in this world.
Every part of our being is filled with the fire and glory of God. When we see Jesus in His resurrected glorified body and identify with Him as He is the more I am changed. If I minister to the sick I see Jesus, who He is, the glorified Christ. Not just when I minister, but all throughout the day. The mirror is God’s Word. I see what’s inside of me. When Jesus lays the hands of His glory on the sick that sickness is consumed. When I lay my hands on the sick that is God doing it according to the measure of faith. When I speak I speak out of the glory of God in me. When we heal the sick, when we bring His manifestation, when we say in the name of Jesus the fire comes out and consumes that sickness. I don’t see cancer. I see God. I see His glory. His spirit is upon my flesh. Now it’s not mere human flesh, but anointed with His glory, pouring out with lightning power.
When I pray for the sick I see the fire coming out of my hands, out of my being. We are spirit. Stop seeing with our physical eyes. See in the realm of the Spirit. Sometimes I just want to get quiet. Sense and see the glory and spirit of fire in and through me, then minister to the sick. When I say be healed it is from the glory of God. This sickness is over. By the glory of God it is as if God said it because it’s from His glory. Whenever you say to someone be healed with cancer see that cancer dried up and gone. It is not imagination, it’s real. It is scripture. When you speak you speak from the glory of God. You speak from what you see by faith!
